TRAINING IN BIBLICAL COUNSELING
MISSIONS AND GOALS
To strengthen the ministry of biblical soul-care in local churches by equipping pastors and lay Christians in the practice of biblical counseling/discipleship;
To help people/students learn how apply the biblical message to the problems of daily living;
To facilitate the development of of local churches through the ministry of soul-care.
REGISTRATION REQUIREMENT
The students should be recommended by their pastors/spiritual leaders and be actively involved in their church ministry, and prove a keen interest in (to) and commitment to the biblical counseling ministry in the local church.
TRAINING SCHEDULE:
The program is developed over a period of two years (January 2022 – November 2023), with weekend intensive modules, every two months, that consist in courses and seminars, (mainly on Friday 6pm-9pm and Saturday 9am-4pm).
The topics which will be addressed include: spiritual formation of a biblical counselor, marriage counseling, family counseling, specific issues (worry and anxiety, suffering, depression, abuse, grief, suicide, etc.), forgiveness and repentance, biblical counseling in local church.
Practical Component: 30 hours of supervised counseling (watching DVDs with specialized biblical counseling sessions, case studies and actual counseling).
