Interdisciplinary Conference – Religious Hypotheses and the Study of Human Nature

The interdisciplinary conference will be held in Timisoara, Romania from 28-29 October, 2022. It focuses on the biblical view of human beings, seeking to answer the question about its truth from a multiplicity of angles, from philosophical through theological to scientific-empirical approaches. The talks are addressed to academics working in and outside the respective fields as well as to an interested lay audience. Attendance is free, for more information please refer to the poster above or visit: religioushypotheses.com/conference

The project “Religious Hypotheses and the Study of Human Nature” is a part of the project “New Horizons for Science and Religion in Central and Eastern Europe” funded by the John Templeton Foundation, coordinated locally by the Agora Christi Foundation and carried out under the auspices of the Ian Ramsey Centre for Science and Religion of the University of Oxford and the Romanian Academy, Iasi Branch.

"Timișoara for Ukraine"

Timișoara Community Foundation  |  Facebook page

We live and witness the tragic moments experienced by innocent people, women and children in Ukraine, subjected to the constant attacks of a criminal aggressor. It is time to mobilize and do all we can to alleviate their suffering. The image of God shines in each one of them.

To maximise efficiency and avoid any overlapings, the Areopagus Center has decided to join the efforts of the communities in the city of Timișoara, inviting you to channel your financial support to the "Timișoara for Ukraine" project.

At this stage, the first fundraiser for the city of Cernăuți (Ukraine) is launched following a request for civil protection equipment from the mayor's office there. Your money will be used so that women and children who fled the war-zones and arrived in Cernăuți can be accommodated in proper conditions, and the wounded, if they are transported there, can benefit from medical treatment.

The "Timișoara for Ukraine" campaign is carried out through the collaboration of Timisoara City Hall, NGOs, associations, religious communities, local entrepreneurs and involved citizens, in solidarity with Ukraine.
